New York's Top Michelin Restaurants: Where to Eat Now
From a three-Michelin-star seafood temple on the West Side to a Michelin-starred Mexican spot in Flatiron, here’s where you should be eating in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

New York’s dining scene is relentless. As of June 2026, Time Out NYC has published its definitive list of the 45 best restaurants in the city, and the spread stretches from a taqueria in NoHo to a triple-starred seafood shrine on the West Side.
The list-which includes venues at 124 E 27th St and 113 Greenwich Ave in Manhattan-arrives as New Yorkers are once again packing dining rooms, and reservations at the city’s top tables are harder to score than ever.
The top ranked tables
Eleven Madison Park, the Flatiron District temple of haute cuisine that was ranked #1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2017, remains a bucket-list booking. The restaurant still commands global attention, even after its controversial switch to an all-plant-based menu.
A few blocks west, Le Bernardin holds three Michelin stars and currently sits at #44 on the same 50 Best list. Chef Eric Ripert’s French-influenced seafood is the gold standard for fish cookery in the city-and the tasting menu is, as always, a marathon, not a sprint.
Over in the Flatiron District, Cosme has earned one Michelin star and ranks #73 in the World’s 50 Best. The Mexican restaurant, from chef Daniela Soto-Innes, is known for its husk-meringue dessert and complex moles.
For something more casual, Atla-also in the Flatiron orbit, but in NoHo-serves the kind of tacos and tostadas you can eat without booking weeks ahead.
Beyond Manhattan: Brooklyn’s best bets
Manhattan isn’t the only borough worth your appetite. Secret NYC’s 2025 list of 30 best restaurants includes a pair of Brooklyn addresses that are still drawing crowds: 119 Avenida A and 575 Henry St. The Avenida A spot is in the East Village, technically Manhattan, but the Henry Street location sits in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn-a neighborhood that has quietly become a dining destination in its own right.
Neither list is static. Time Out updates its 45-best roster regularly, and the fact that two separate outlets-Time Out and Secret NYC-both released comprehensive guides within the past year tells you something: New Yorkers are hungry for direction. The city’s restaurant landscape changes fast, and locals need a reliable North Star.
The practical takeaway: if you want a reservation at Eleven Madison Park, book at least a month out. Le Bernardin’s lunch prix fixe is easier to snag than dinner, but still requires planning. Cosme and Atla are more accessible, but walk-in availability is not guaranteed.
