Best Time to Visit New York City
New York City is arguably the world's most visited destination and rewards visits in every season — but the extremes of its continental climate mean timing matters. Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) are universally praised as the finest seasons, with comfortable temperatures, stunning foliage or blossom, and a sense that the city is at its most alive.
Summer brings Central Park concerts, rooftop bars, and a festival atmosphere — but also intense heat, humidity, and the largest crowds of the year. Winter is cold and can be snowy, but the Christmas season turns Manhattan into something spectacular. January and February offer the lowest hotel prices and shortest museum queues.
